66 Eagle St – Central Plaza 2

Prior to marketing Central Plaza 2 for sale, Lend Lease Commercial Fund completed a major renovation of the lobby and end of trip facilities. Works were completed in a live environment whilst access was maintained to the building at all times through staging.

Wind loads required the use of heavy-weight custom laminated toughened glass panels up to 25mm thick – and extra heavy duty auto door operators to accommodate this weight and the frequency of use.

The intricate patterning of the steel work was matched in the shapes of the glass panels atop. Laser-cut aluminium flats were fitted to the structure to provide adequate surface for structural glazing.
